According to Florida Highway Patrol, the driver of a car carrying four passengers lost control of the vehicle, which left the road and struck a tree. The impact caused the car to split in half, killing three of the occupants and seriously injuring the fourth.
In January 2020, a head-on collision on Cortez Road in Bradenton claimed the lives of two people and left several others injured. The Florida Highway Patrol reported that a vehicle traveling westbound crossed the center line and collided with an oncoming car. The drivers of both vehicles were killed in the accident, and four passengers from the two cars were transported to the hospital with serious injuries.

A pedestrian was fatally struck by a vehicle on 15th Street East in Bradenton in February 2021. According to the Florida Highway Patrol, the 65-year-old man was attempting to cross the road when he was hit by a car traveling northbound. Tragically, the man died at the scene from his injuries.
